I was, before reading this thread, thinking of dipping my toes into the salty side, but at the prices a few of you have said have put me off, for the meantime anyway.

it's not the price.. maintaining is the one is the main problem. this is why marine tank onboard computer never loses its value....

I didn't mean to offend. I just don't understand what you are trying to get at. If it is overpriced, it won't sell. Why scoff at the individual who is selling it or anyone who might actually buy it at that price?


Personally, I don't see any value in 'modding' a car, at any price, but I don't laugh at those who do it. I've owned the same car (straight off the assembly line) for over 10 years, and have put over 125,000 miles on it. It still runs well, but my only use for it is getting from point A to point B and back again. But, that is what I value a car for. You obviously had a different perspective on it, and that's fine, but why scoff at this fella?
