brown kuhlie loaches are a better option since they stay small. my biggest is 3 and a bit inches probably. most are just over an inch.

Why are all the suggestions in this thread to buy other animals to eat snails? Its just a really bad idea, the same way that buying a plec just to eat algae is a bad idea. You should have just cut back on your feeding (if you have loads of snails you are overfeeding, they will die once their food source dries up.) and gotten any out that you could see by hand.

clown loaches are shoaling fish and prefer to be in groups of at least 4-6. How is your tank stocked at the moment can it handle the bio load from another 3 clown loach?

snails are not that difficult to keep under control just squish them every day and their numbers should soon dwindle.

An explosion of pest snails is also a common sign of overfeeding. You should have tried feeding your fish less and seeing if this affected the population of snails.
