if your fish arent aggressive and all very very friendly fish you could get some shrimp. here in singapore algae eating shrimps are both nice and readily available. not sure if they're over there where u live tho. the more common species are yamato, cherry, tiger and bumble bee shrimp

Hi fish_r_great :)

It looks like you are trying to stock your tank with fish that will eliminate the need for you to do routine chores. IMHO this is not a very good idea. :X

Although catfish will eat food that is dropped by the other fish and settles on the bottom of the tank, and plecos, ottos and snails will eat some of the algae there is nothing that will relieve you of the need to clean your tank by hand on a regular basis.

No matter what fish you put in, you will still have to siphon the dirt from the gravel and clean the inside of the glass if it gets algae on it. Why not just resign yourself to these little jobs and stock the tank with the fish you really like?

Pygmy cories are a great addition to any tank especially smaller ones. They dont get as big as the standard cory wich means a bigger school.
