I have two guppies, both of whom are in my hospital tank due to fin rot. (They had it in the store and I felt bad for them)

The male is stable, his fin hasn't grown back but it hasn't gotten any worse since I've had him.
The female got worse, but after several water changes and the introduction of salt she has stabilized. (But her tail is in much worse shape)

The male keeps bugging the female (For obvious reasons) and I feel like he's hindering her healing, because it's just the two of them in my little 5g hospital tank.

As I said, the male is stable, though his fin hasn't grown back yet. I feel he would to fine in my main tank.
Should I introduce him to the community so the female has some alone time and can heal or would her boy toy being gone just stress her out?

well if it does continue and you feel like its affecting your females recovery then i would suggest that you seperate them so your female doesn' t get any more stressed then what it already is if you of course this being if you have somewhere to put you male
