Bolivian ram dominant female

Hi, new to the forums but not fish keeping.

I've got a 60l planted & heavy decorated with wood tank, I know what you'll say - it's borderline small tank for a pair but the 120l is not ready yet.

I got them about two weeks ago. The male is 100% male (though very soft it seems). The.. "female" I'm 80% sure she is a female and not a male (more on that down bellow).
When I first got them it took them a day to settle and female started chasing the male around, nipping on his stomach or sides mostly. I thought that was normal behavior, female is testing the male,after a few days things calmed down a bit until 2 days ago that female picked up her pace and chases him away more. So I thought today to re- shake the tank and moved things a bit.

Female was not happy about it and poor male got to pay the price. I thought that might help restoring dominance/territories. So far the female kind of rules this tank. I have now dimmed the lights and left only ambient to help them settle down a bit.

Bellow you'll find a video of the female (first fish) and male (second fish) and a few pictures of the female just to make sure that we're not putting a dress on a potential male.
Any advices on what to do next? If I have to re-home one, which one would you keep?

At the age and in that condition (a bit rough and underfed in their previous life) I wouldn't feel able to sex them. They're a species that eventually is sexable, but that often tells you their sex via their behaviour.

They aren't the healthiest specimens, and that can cause conflict. The tank IS too small, that magnifies issues. You may well have two fish of the same sex there.

Yeah I agree they are difficult to sex. I've had a pair of GBRs in the past those were a bit easier to handle and sex in my opinion. They will move in a 120l tank soon hopefully. Until then if I see fins damage I'll have to rehome one of the two.

A bit hard to pick though. The dominant one is what I'm mostly leaning towards to, but the other one that looks more like a male is a bit more impressive in the looks.

If you check the site rules, you can't link to outside sites. In this case, it was your video, but most of the time linking's what spammers do. We have to filter scamming and porn that use that method. Your post was caught up in the filters as a result.

My read is that both fish have disproportionate eye size, and that's usually a result of poor feeding as fry. They're kind of hunched over as well, and don't carry themselves as their species should. You weren't sold really good ones there. It isn't on you with when you bought them - that goes back to earlier in their lives.

Thanks for your input, no didn't realize that to be fair. Where I live there's not many options rather than two shops.
I'm committed to take good care of them nevertheless, hence why I'm here and not ignoring the issue
