My teacher (actually my mom, because I'm homeschooled :grr: ) asked me to recreate an aquarium, so I chose a rocky habitat for cichlid's and pleco's. I don't know if this is the right section, but.. yeah. She needs me to make something real, with compatibility and all. Anyway:

"Tank Size": 50 Gallons.
They are all only in ones, so...
Suckermouth Pleco
Jaguar Cichlid
Lemon Cichlid
Tricolor Ciclid.

And if anyone has more fish that are compatible...

The jaguar cichlid would need a bigger tank and would likely attack the others.

Also they are NW cichlids not African.

Ginge - I've been homeschooled all my life, it's kind of a family-thing, my mom hated public school so she believes that it's best that others don't do it ( ) plus with all the drug addicts it's kind of risky. And the project is for biology, we're just starting school so we're starting with a fun project. I also have to do fish papers on: bright light fish, dim light, still pools, jungle plant areas, open space... It's kind of easy, but we've never been big on biology and I've been interested in animals all my life, so I already know a lot about that.

Jayjay - Thanks. :) I'll peel him off. Is there another cichlid that would do good?

Personally I'd use it for something other than cichlids but not my choice.

Ummmmm for cichlids I'd try -

1 blue acara
1 rainbow cichlid
1 firemouth
1 salvini
1 sajica
1 rusty plec

Not a biotype or anything, just a nice mix IMO.

Also on the light subject, I hardly ever have my tank lights on except my 90g and planted tank. The fish are fine and healthy so I don't see a problem.
