Samsung Tocco Lite Owners

hi, if you own a samsung tocco lite i need your help!

i have tried to put an 8gb mirco sdhc memory card into it and the phone is not recognising it. Therefore i am having trouble getting my computer to recognise it thorugh the usb supplied with the phone. This is very annyoing as i want to put loads of music onto the phone.

any suggestions/ what am i doing wrong?

any help will be super.

i think i have tried but it wont let me. it just says error.
i dont know if im doing something wrong though so any help would be excellent mate.

my old pro duo card worked first time like a dream. i swear as teachnology gets newer there are more things to go wrong. They arent ironing out problems just building more factors in that can go wrong.

maybe the card is too much memory for the fone? i bought an 8gb for my camera only to find that the max it would take is 2

To be honest, mine only has a 2gb in it and I find that it slows my phone down quite a bit. Maybe it is that it only takes 2gb max.

EDIT: just done a quick search and apparently it takes upto 16gb

I would take your memory card back and see if another works.

there is loads of conflicting info, the guy in carphone Ware.., said it would only take 4gb but online webistes vary saying it can take 8gb, 16gb and 4gb.
the manual that came with the phone said it can take upto 16gb so i trusted that.

i have bought an sd card reader that plugs into my USB slot. hopefully conecting it directly to my comp without having to go through the phone, might enable me to format it.
i got to wait for it to be delivered which it *might* come friday.

I have the tocco lite, bloody thing, mine couldnt find the memory card when I first put it in, had to go thru the settings, cant remember how I did it though AND the most annoying thing, you cannot choose your own music as a message ringtone, you can for calls, but not for messages!!!!!!!!!! Hate it, screen freezes, camera is poop and frankly I want my old V3i back!

Can you get to memory settings? if so try to reformat the card, If not then do you have another sandisk that you can try?

I was originally going to get this phone but eventually went for the samsung pixon, after being advised by the guy in carphone warehouse that they had a lot of problems with the tocco range,

It may be worth popping down to your store and getting someone to look over it, i.e. test it with another card etc.

I've also had a quick google and this issue appears a few times

i cant re format the card if it hasnt been formated in the first place.
it just keeps coming up with an error and saying it cant format it, but it wont tell me why!

im stumped on this one, thats why i am wondering if any other owners have has this issue and managed to sort it out. or can recommend memory cards that are TRIED AND TESTED and WILL work in the phone.

the last one was for my old sony erricson. it was a 2gb memory card pro duo. Its not like my computer is not recognising cards becuause that one worked fine.

i bought it online, and i cant take it back because they say they only accept faulty goods back, not those that are purchased wrongly. There is no reason why it is the wrong card. im sure im missing something.
