I have spare tanks galore from 3 - 12 gals to try one of these but sadly mother has banned me from having more tanks set up I'd have loved to do one in my 12 gal tall particularly as the height is perfect for it , could have had another betta in there too...

One of our often overlooked rules is this one. It is sometimes overlooked if the competing forum is a special purpose forum, but the link went to one that is a general purpose forum with no special information that we don't have right here on TFF.
