Restocking After So Many Deaths!

I also highly recommend a QT tank for any new arrivals. I had a similar experience to yours where a particularily virulent strain of bactera hit my mbuna tank, I lost 13 fish in less than 24hrs. While I'm not sure if the catfish I introduced a couple weeks prior introduced the bacteria, I've be using a QT tank ever since, and haven't lost anymore fish.

I'm sorry for your loss, and wish you luck on the new stocking. :good:

I don't have a QT tank but I must seriously think about getting a small one, would hate this to happen again its heartbreaking. Like I said the strange thing was that I had done nothing different or added or changed anything for weeks. Just one of those things!

Think I'll check out my lfs this weekend and through the week and also next weekend to check out the rams to see how quickly they sell, maybe if I spot a 'paired' couple thats been there a while I can asked the assistant to sell me them. Thanks for the advice.

Have to have a look at that thinkfish site as well!

Thank you everybody and will let you know in a couple of weeks how my new rams are doing!
