Fish Fanatic
Hi,
during a bit of hunt around today I came across some wood which had been submerged for awhile and was more than likely washed down in a flood.
I cleaned it and it came up ok,when I cut a section off,I noticed that the core was redish,so I am making the assumption that it could be redgum, now redgum is a tree of the genus Eucalyptus,I had a smell of it and it did not have the distinct odour of redgum (when we use it for firewood it does have a distinct smell).
Being in Australia some of you may not be familiar with this wood,so,do you think I could use this in my tank for driftwood or not take the chance.
Apologies for the amount of posts I am throwing at this forum, but be assured every answer has given me more knowledge than I knew before.
Thank you.
