right i got 3 red devils/midas. not too sure which. probably a hybrid of the two seems pures are seldom seen. two are in my big tank and about 6" sorta size, while the smaller of the three is in my 65G with a comunity of other cichlids.
tomorow im rehoming my big male severum and frontosa. ive had them for about a year now and itl be hard to see them go but iwant the devils to grow on.
they seem to follow eachover about every now and then but soemtiems chase eachover too.
the bigger one i was sure is a male is starting to grow a hump slightly, but the other one is growing one faster. if they were both males they surely would of killed eachvoer or at least fort by now ?
does a female grow her nuchal hump also? and does she grow at a similar rate to the male...
il try and get soem pictures, but if anyone could help me out here itd be of great importance :)
regards tuurlijk

Females wont get the nochal hump on her head. Only males will.

Without the present of a female in the tank the males will tolerate each other as they have nothing to compete for.

However given time they will eventually beat each other up so I would advise separating them no before either one comes to any harm.
