Recomended Fish Tank Size!

Ok so we all know that fish need certain tank sizes,so why isit ok for lfs's to have like 30 large silver sharks in a tiny no more than like 45 ltr tank,also dozens of clowns in another and so on,ark aquatics be the store in question and whenever i go there im the only person in there,so these poor balas and clowns etc have to live in this over crowded state for months and months,i honestly think im their only custermer although i never buy livestock for the reasons ive listed,

They are stockists, not hobbyists in the same way you and i are. Although i am not condoling it, because i think its not exactly a fair way to treat the fish. However, you have to look at it from the other side, housing them properly even for sale purposes is going to be take a huge premises. Which unfortunately isnt practical. So smaller tanks with high numbers in is how they do it. Its only temporary, yes some fish can be in there longer than others but its just one of those slightly sad feights in the world that we have to get on with.

Also, don't forget that most shops run quite large sumps or other filtration systems, so the actual volume of water is much larger than what is in the tank.
