I have an affinity for these little guys. Only to be kept in the best of conditions, with mature water and media. But they are lively and have excellent personality. Normally they are too active to get a picture of, but i did this time, and i just couldn't not show off my lady friend here. Her name is "Dr Snaps; PHd" Most of my pets have phd's, doctorates, some are professors, like my cat fuzzybritches. All that aside, Rams.

I just got a little Bolivian ram She is the best. Right now she is in quarantine but Monday its off to the big tank with my keyhole. I have been busy with work and Baby (who is in my arms right now) So I have not taken a photo yet but I will tonight.

Here are photos of my old balloon ram one was crazy. RIP

HA HA pets with PHDs. my mean crazy ram was Nelson the wimpy one millhouse. I like the Simpsons.

I can see why those rams fought, beautiful males. That one piece of flat-top scenery is textbook ram spawning grounds, when you got them perhaps they weren't in the mind set, the season comes round when its time to spawn, and two males will have at it.

Thanks everyone for the replies so far!

I lost one of my boys to pop eye the other day so i now have 2 girls and 1 male German Blue Ram. I love them to. Always so active and alive.

Not the best photos but here some...

Ok I got a photo of my new little Bolivian ram. She is only an inch or so big. I am not sure if its a male of female but I think its a female. No name yet but so far this little fish is way cooler then my balloon rams who were really shy and did not like me looking at them. This little one posed for the camera. She is still in quarantine So don't mind the ugly tank. but only till Monday.

She is not very brightly colored like some I have seen. She is still a wee tot. Rams are just too cute. I was not going to get her. I went in to the LFS asking them to get me some keyholes. I went back to see if they came in they did not but this little fish was still there so I had to have her.

See my avatar for the best pic I've got of a pair I used to have.

Here is a pic of 3 of my bolivian ram herd. I have 11 of them.

I was in one of my LFS (well, not really local - had to drive an hour to get there) and I saw a few of the most stunning GBR's I've ever seen. I thought my old pair were beautiful, but these really took my breath away. I'd just picked up an apisto pair and was tempted to get a GBR pair as well but despite myself I resisted, because I don't think the two pairs would be happy in a 90L.

Worth the hours drive each way just to see those GBR's. Will be keeping my eyes open for a cheap 90L-ish tank and stand so I can go back there and get them. Truly stunning fish.

My boy, who I thought was a girl until a few days ago. Looking at him now it seems very silly I thought he was a girl. lol
