Ram Vs. Ruby Shark

i have a ram of some kind

and it has been chasing (sometimes) my brand new ruby shark. is this normal? it doesn't seem to bite it or anything, just swim up to it really ast and stop when theres about an inch of space between the two. im thinking about removing the ram but am worried about tonight. because its gonna be dark and sharks hunt better at night, is there a chance im going to come back to tank with a dead ram?

He will be fine. Did you re-arrange the set-up when you put the shark in, as cichlids claim territories.

nope. i did about an hour before though, to get a yoyo loach to take it to the lfs however. if both fish will be fine, i dont wanna take either back lol coz they're really nice looking fish and i've always fancied a shark.
how big will the ram grow dya reckon? and what kinda of ram do i have?

You have a German Blue Ram. I have a pair and they are great little fish
