If you want an everlasting supply of fry I would go with one male, 2 females. If you want a chance of fry you can pick up 3 females (chances are one of them will be pregnant if your LFS keeps them in with the males) and they will have fry until they run out of witheld sperm from the male, which could be months!
Thanks for the advice!! :D I will probably go with one male two females, because as you said I dont want an endless supply of fry. Thanks again.
Well if you get one male and two females you will have an everlasting supply of fry because the male will keep breeding with the females.

Whoops, I meant the three females suggestion. I don't want a lot of fry so I will probably get the 3 females. Sorry I was watching a T.V. show at the same time I was typing. :S

If you don't want an endless supply of fry, you should go with as someone else already suggested and get 2-3 females. Most are already pregnant when you get them so you will have several batches of fry for a few monthes and as long as you take the fry out before they are say a month old the females won't get bred again. Good luck with your guppies.
