Cheers matey. Yeah it was fun. I need to add a few new pics. The moss carpet that i used to replace the Pogostemon is starting to grow a little. The Puffers have recently been enjoying some snails that were recently donated to me by a member on here. Very interesting to watch them stalk them then pounce.

The tank would probably look alot better with a group of Neons or whatever, but the Puffers are very characterful indeed.

Thought i would offer up some updated pics.

nice one, looks a little empty though, think i'd get bored of that one quick, funky little characters though!

Yeah I know what you mean. Going to add another 2 oto's in a couple of weeks and maybe some more plants. 2 puffers are very active and always come to greet you when you go near the tank so at least they're more interactive than neons for example.

Plus, they have some growing to do.

I had the same concern with my two puffers and almost changed them around a few times but not they are almost like pets with bags of character

by the way I have been to B & Q today and bought the black guttering and ends and Im delighted with how it looks plus my living room is no longer so bright from the lights that were just resting on my two tanks. What did you use to secure the bulbs to the guttering? I could not find anything in the shops

Lol! Haha!

I cut two grooves out in the back and wedged the end caps in them. I think there is a pic at the beginning that shows it. If not then I will get you one.

Made a few changes to the tank, nothing major, just removed the wood on the right as it was realising alot of oils into the water. Replaced it with some Anubias Heterophilla and Anubias Barteri towards the front.

its looking good. the moss if filling out nicely :good: well done

I guess i should give this thread an update aswell rather than just the one in my planted thread...

Well, the Puffers have had an upgrade... quite a nice one too! :D

They were in an 88 litre tank before. They seemed happy enough, but after the advice of a few members on here i decided to move them to my 3ft, 180 litre tank. This was made by possible by having a re-shuffle with my tanks and rehoming a few of my fish.

Anyway... The scaping atm is ok, but after some more advice from the planted section i think i am going to change it yet again.  New wood and new rocks i think. All the same type so it isn't so mixed and matched.

All inhabitants are doing well, the Otocinclus are really active. Can't wait to get some more. Unsure whether to add another Puffer or not. I think 4-5 would be a good number.

Here are a few pics of how the 88 litre tank ended up:

As said, the setup is only temporary, shall be rescaped over the next day or two.

Let me know your thoughts. :)

Thanks matey. :) Just brought another 6 pieces of Mopani wood. Thats brings the number upto 10. Hopefully I should be able to create something out of these that looks interesting and fun for the Puffers to explore.
