Cheers Jay, appreciate that! :)

The SAP seems alot happier now he has more room to wander and more to explore. :good:

Looking forward to reading how this tank goes, especially when you get to do your first beak trim after sedating the SAP with clove oil.

As for the APS1000 flow, have you seen if things improve if you do away with all the spray bar modules and just use one or two of the small 90 degree elbows to position the outflow to your liking? When we did the real life filter tests in the summer, I found the flow of my 2000EF increased from 900ish-1200ish lph by not using any spraybar modules.

Love it!

You seem to have started down the dark path of specific lighting for photos. Shame on you!

Yeah, not looking forward to that part. Thinking of setting up a snail tank so i can breed my own for them to munch on in an attempt to help out with the dentistry. lol. Thanks for the tip on the elbow joint, may look into doing that! :)

ZZ, no light trickery here, thats just how it is. Only thing i did was turn down the brightness on the camera. I haven't got a snazzy camera either, just a point and shoot compact jobby whatsit.

Thanks :D

2 new little Puffers in place. My little one seemed very happy to discover a few new friends that had miraculously appeared! :) Paid £5 each for them, which constitutes to a nice little saving over my LFS price of £13.50!

The person i got them from had a fully grown one which was a fair size, probably 2-3 times bigger than mine. Think i will definately stick with 3 only. :good:

Will get some pics up tomorrow once they have settled in a little.

Need to scrub the new piece of wood also as it has got white sminge all over it.

Will also add some more Crypts around the wood too.

Looking good bud, like the lighting set up, one to try in the future I think, great idea, tank looking nice, keep the pics. coming ... :good: Was really tempted a while back seting up a wee puffer tank with a couple of bumblebee gobies but never got round to it

Cheers, Sean

Hey sean, long time no speak! Thanks for the comments! :) I'm considering uping the light, but it will still be the same concept. My 3 seem placid enough, but only plan on adding a couple of Otoccinclus.

Would BBG's be suitable then?

Ahahaha completely misread your tank size! And i guess the recommendations for tank size have changed..i was told 55 minimum for a few but meh they are smaller puffers and so forth. Anyways nice tank!

Hey Shovelman. No worries. All 3 are now doing well and eating fine. Although i have got to do a bit of dentisry on one of them  which i am not looking forward to. I already have the clove oil so will consider doing it tonight or tomorrow. :S
