I went to hong kong to visit my granma because she was having a heart operation and while we waited we went to mong kok. all the streets are fish and the prices are so cheap i saw discus for $20 which is equivalent to £2 ish and tanks that were 10ft at least for $300 thats around £25 I wish I lived there so I could have the all the fish I want and cheap lol

A 10ft tank... think of the possibilities... And for $300!!!

wow!! i'm going over there next year for my brothers wedding, i'll have to see what i can get hold of!!!

Its not the price of fish that interests me, as once I stock my tank the fish live for many years, but if I could get tanks for that cheap... i'd be in heaven.

Same... I'm getting a 60g and the tank on it's own (no hood/stand, just glass) is $135. The stand is $90, the hood's $120... $345 all up.

i'm more interested in the componants at the moment, heater, filter, that kinda thing.

I wonder how much it'd cost to get a huge tank shipped over to the uk as my brothers GF has family there...

I noticed that when I was out there, but the people I was with wouldn't let me browse for long :(

Did you notice how they keep the fish in bags hanging on the walls? If you want one then you grab the bag rather than pick one out of the tank. Can't imagine how long they must be kept there waiting in the bags :grr:

Fantastic place though isn't it..did you visit Ocean Park?

yeah we could all get together and put in a big order for tanks filters etc!!!
That's a great idea, but even better, you could move there, own whatever you wanted at a cheap price, and then set up a business shipping the stuff cheap.. You could make millions, and make millions of people happy by still being cheaper than American/UK shops!
