Poor babies, i'm really sorry there is only one left, I will be rehoming some of mine in the coming months, maybe I could send a couple your way?

5 . (my fave) fill up old drinks bottles with water, freeze them and simply add to the tank near the back away from lights. will slowly melt cooling the water. This way works for my tanks. It'shot here in Japan at the moment, but my Pulchra tank is at 22c constantly using this method

This is what I am doing, seems to be working so far, my channa tank is in a cold hallway though with the blinds closed & thankfully hasnt gotten too hot, did creap up to 26 yesterday. but back down to 20 today.

I found a worm in my little patch of soil when digging outsome stuff , so went to the tank and to my suprise the snakeheads would eat from hand. They only tiny so wasnt botherd about them biting me , wouldnt like to try it with the larger species like:)

I now have 7 orientalis in my tank with the Senegal Bichir. Looks awsome tank , now i;ve got rid of my geo's and kissing gourami;s they come out alot more. Should get a pair from the 7 of them!!

my assams still don't seem to be doing much in the way of pairing or breeding, i might just get rid and make way for something new, would anyone be interested in them? there is 5, 2 at 6 inch and the rest around 3-4 inch.

Possibly.... or if you wait n see I'd maybe be interested in the 'spares' if you get a pair. I'm seriously considering joining the SH club as I have a spare 100l tank sat doing nothing.

They are still on ebay - I am hoping to sell 2 smaller tanks to fund something new and interesting for my 3ft tank. If you know him is he a reputable keeper?

By the way, the other tank I have available is an 80l 2ft long 18" high - this one already has glass sliders would it be suitable for young snakeheads or for a pair?

you on about the orientalis kowatta forest thingy's on ebay? been watching them myself, only 20 minutes down the a6 from me so could pick some up! hehe.
are they subtropical aswel? he says 25 degree's but that would be sort of max for sub tropicals wouldn't it?
just not sure about them at the moment, not my favourite channa
wouldn't mind the sp. red fins but the only place a can find them is at wildwoods and they want 80 quid each, i could get the sp. blue moonbeam galaxy for that! or the flouro green!
hmmm gonna have to give it a think ey!
