so £25 for 6 2.5 - 4 cm fish, i just got put off a bit with babies after loosing all the ornates but im sure that was because of the heat but i wouldn't have that problem with tropical ones! going to have a serious think! hehe

I've been thinking long and hard and realistically can't afford it this month as I would also need stuff for the tank - plants, hiding places etc not to mention a new hood if I want to use the 100l.

I think it is a plan for that tank though, I've been captivated by the snakehead threads, they seem fascinating.

Don't suppose anyone local has a 3ft escape-proof hood going v. cheap have they?

hehe go for it, what tank do you have? i on my 5ft/2ft/2ft i got hold of an old 2ft tank and cut the cylicone from it, leaving me with all the sheets,,,fits perfect on the legde as the sliding glass never came with tank, its spot on....

hehe there brill mate, what would you like to know?
don't change the water to often, my tank temp sits between 25-26c/ph 8.0-8.5 and he eats cichlid hiraki red med sized pellets and prawns both fresh and frozen<obviously thawed first, they are great to keep and as you can see at present alls well in the community envoiroment, smallest being a male krib, however i shall be moving him out soon as both the obscura and pleuro are growing quick, think they may concider him a snack sooner rather than later

It's a 3ftx1ftx1ft, it does have a not very secure hood so paid a visit to wickes this morning to price up perspex sheets, £22 would get more than enough!

I do have an old 3ft tank that the seals bust on....

well there supposed to max around 14inches,should not be kept with anything 2/3rds of there size,
get bigger in the wild...i have had no problems with mine at present,took to pellets very quick within the week,was around 3inch when i got him/her
