hiya i have just brought and set up a tropical 225l tank, i want clown loaches but dont know what other fish would look and go well with them can u help me

Well u need fist to cycle your tank before adding any fish.

i am doing that currently but once i have i dont know what to put in with clown loaches :unsure:

Hi,
Clown Loaches are a good choice, although they can grow quite large.> They like to be with other C.Loaches and would go happily with Small Gourami, Angels, Tetras, Corydoras Catfish and most Community fish .
Mine are really active and characters (burrow in sand, play-acting, make clicking noises).

silver sharks grow too big for 225 litres they need a 6ft tank minimum, check out www.loaches.com for the postential size of clown loaches, your tank would be ok for a few years but you would eventually need to upgrade as they grow.

Rossyt99 may I say your tank looks a real credit to you, lovely fish too. :good:

In answer too the original question, I have my clowns in with Angels and Rams with no problem as they are all small, but will eventually need at least a 5x2x2.

clown loaches are great fish, id suggest letting the tank mature a little before adding them, they can get white spot and a little care now may stop this from happening, too many times do aquarists add too much too quickly with tragic results :good:
