Please Help Me!

im trying to get a pic of him to put on here. but its hard to do that with him at the bottom and what not. yes, it looks like hes in an S shape. like hes..leaning. I never noticed it before b/c he was leaning no the marbles in his bowl. and then when i took them out and changed his water and put him back in I noticed it. I dont know much about fish diseases or anything. What is TB?

EDIT: okay i looked it up and found what TB was..Tuberculosis right?

Hmm... I hope its not that b/c that sound pretty bad. wouldnt he swim funny if his spin was deformed? because he doesnt swim funny. he just cant really swim very well. it takes awhile for him to get up and swim around. On Thurs I am going to PetCo to look at some new tanks..maybe I will ask them what they think. They probably wont be much help though. I know the guy at Earl May wasnt

Im not sure about the funny swimming. Are his fins clamped?

I dont really know what the fins would look like if they were clamped. I feel really bad because I didnt look into all this stuff before getting a betta. Im trying to find pics on the net but I cant find any. I know that his fins have like..shrunk it seems like..getting smaller or something.

to they sort of stay stiff? like when he flares? do they have ragged edges? any discolouration?

hmm... yes there are ragged edges and he doesnt seem to have that bright color to him anymore. no, i dont think they are stiff. i would have to double check but I am pretty sure they arent.

Alright. Tomorrow I will try to get a picture taken..if that helps. His water is a lil green though. The fungus medicine makes the water a greenish color. I hope this stuff works. How long do you think I should keep doing the medicine? I read on the net that when the fins grow back you will notice b/c they will be clear. But how long should I keep using this medicine? Till I see results?

I treated my Betta with the Melafix for 7 days, did a water changeand just kept an eye on him. After a couple of weeks I could start to see a difference.

Thank you all for posting! I have been a little stressed over it. I will try this medicine for a week or a little longer. I will update as well. Im going to be reading like..EVERY thread on this site. I want to get more betta. I dont know but for some reason since mine got sick I have been thinking about getting more betta fish. This time I will know more about them though But I am off to bed. Thank you all again!
