Please give me advice

Who else is in the tank. I like rainbow sharks in large systems. Hillstream loaches tend to disappear!

Hillstream loaches need super high flow, and plenty of bio-film to much on. Not a rainbow shark habitat at all :).

I'd say it's harder. A lot of special requirements, and not many fish can live with it.
Is this your first tank?

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?

What is the GH (general hardness), KH (carbonate hardness) and pH of your water supply?
This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).

What is your water hardness, GH?

What fish are you looking for?
South American, African, Central American?

I have not started cycling my tank yet but I will soon it does not have water in it but the water in my area is pretty hard just wondering is there a way to change water hardness in my fish tank
