Plants From Pond Suitable For A Tank?

heya i got some plants given to me (a bucket full) that were in my neighbours pond. i have fished all the water fleas out and fed them to my peacock gobies who gobbled them up. but at closer examination to the plants there seems to be leaches in there. they are around about 1cm in size. i was wondering if these would do any harm to my fish. or if they will just eat them? or if my dwarf puffers would eat them? any help please as ive washed all the plants out with water and washed out as many as i can what next?

Honestly it just depends on whether you want the nasties that go with them. To make you think, here is a list of everything I got from one batch of water lettuce from a friend's pond:

-Copepods
-Pond Snails
-Marsh Snails
-Hydra
-Dragonfly Larvae

Then again, none of things bothered me so as long as you are not averted to a few hitchhikers, by all means go ahead.

I didn't notice the leaches... maybe it would be bst to nuke everything with some coppersafe or something. I'd be worried about leeches carryign internal parasites.
