Pics Of My New Delhezi's!

yup u can ive got a one stripe spiny eel with mine :good:

Thanks guys!

I'm not too sure about an eel,
there overly active and i think
thy would annoy the bichirs.

I hear they grow pretty damn fast too!
In a while i'll post some "before and after pics" lol

i'm tryin to find a mid-dweller for the tank

Great pics Maximus. I like the setup of the tank and the Birchirs are awesome. I know of someone who kept them with a some blue acara's. :)

Thanks Jacko, I'm really happy with the setup!

Acara's are a good option too,
I'll have a look at some now :good:

quick growth tip here :good: I got my little girl to grow from 4-5" to 7" in a month... How? Shrimp pellets and frozen food :good:

redfinned tetra, as mentioned previously
also another deep bodied fish; disc tetra (see TFF fish profile)
you may get away with black widows for a while but I would trust the dels when they are adults with them.

Wow thanks for that :good:

Mine gobbeled up some earthworms yesturday
but refused to eat shrimp. Is it too big for them?
They didnt even sniff at it!

When do you feed yours? (night, day, afternoon ect.)
Because mine seem very active in the afternoon :)

What sorts of frozen food is that then?

Thanks for all the help!

Its alot i know, but i want the best for them :D

Yea i think you have the right idea with deep-bodied fish :good:

Silver dollers sound really good but do they just hide all the time?
I know there skittish but i do have quite a good planted areafor them.

Oh thats a thought! Do they eat plants?

Thanks again lol

how about silver dollars (could already have been suggested under a different name) or some geophagus?

Hey I've been looking at silver dollars but not too sure if
they eat plants or not yet?

It says that Geos can chase tank mate endlessly

If i decide on Geos i'll wait till the Bichirs are big
enough to defend themselfs lol!

both silver dollar and red hooks being both in the genus Myleus will eat plants.

the disc tetras will nibble at them but will not decimate them.
redfinned tetra also like a nibble but will leave most plants alone.

I supose it all depends on what you can find in your area but with deep bodied fish
you'll be looking at tetragonoperus, Brachychalcinus & gymnocorymbus (some specis only)

also festivums, angels etc would be ok with the dels, depending on the height of the water for the angels (min 18").

Hey there,

I dont want a fish thats gonna eat my plants!

How about some rams?
Or do these eat them aswell lol?

the rams would be food for the dels
