Tested my PH and its looking to be around 8.

Is this acceptable in itself for fish? I know ammonia is more toxic at higher PH but ammonia is currently 0 so not an issue.

Im sure the rocks iv put in the take must be a form of limestone even though i was assured theyre safe.

Would CO2 injection balance it out??

depends what fish you are going to keep. African Cichlids for instance would love that PH but New world would hate it

it also depends where your fish have come from, if they are commercially farmed fish then their tolerance for ph is far greater than their wild relatives. if they are wild then it is best as close to how it would be in its native habitat. if you need to get it down id use phdown. although it dosn't seem excessively high just for a community tank

Currently neon tetras, shrimps, honey gourami, dwarf corys, red tail shark to be rescued from another tank. Quite an empty tank tbh.

Was looking for german blues in about 6 months when tank has matured.
