Pettex Roman Aquarium Gravel

I have a new tank coming and have an idea of what I want it to look like. I'm going more classy with this one lol. I wanted black gravel. Is this stuff good?

There's nothing wrong with it, but there are cheaper gravels out there.

it was only 3.50 a 2kg bag. I just thought it looked blacker than the other gravels in the pics that was all. Plus it says it doesn't affect PH which my last gravel did.

its an expensive way of buying it, but if your not bothered by the cost go for it

Most gravels should be inert, it's just the Calcium Carbonate based aragonite gravels that will have an affect, £3.50 for a 2Kg bag is extortionate in my opinion, and most black gravels will be grey to some extent, its dry colour is different to its wet colour, I have used this gravel and it did look grey once wet.

i wouldnt pay that for it either, it has a funny coating on it too, which i'm sure would come off over time.
you can get 25kg of gravel for £10

I've got osme of the roman gravel and it is actually quite grey once it's underwater. I have some Unipac stuff and that's really black though.
