Hello,

I have been struggling with a sick fish and i'm at wits end trying to diagnose what ailment the platy has. I have included a diagram of the feces of the fish. I think i may be dealing with a parasite but I am not sure.

I have treated tank with Maracyn 2, the fish seemed less bloated and more active after that.
I have treated the tank with Metro+ for 48 hours (ended yesterday)
I started treatment of Prazipro today.

Just looking for some expert opinions, I feel bad for the little gal and would very much like to see her survive despite her being $1.oo at petsmart
1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc)
Tank size: 20 Gallon
pH: 8.1
ammonia: 0-0.25ppm
nitrite: 0-0.25ppm
nitrate:0-5ppm
kH: I presume high
gH: I presume Moderate to high
tank temp: 79 °F

2. A full description of the fishes symptoms.

Fish has irregular bowel movements (See picture)
Fish is currently inactive (separated) when fish is with tank mates it is a bit more active mostly around feeding time.
Fish is eating a good amount

3. How often you do water changes and how much.

Water is changed 25% once a week normal. This has changed with medications.

4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water.

I add Jungle Brand "Start Right"
I add Tetra Brand 'Easy Balance"

5. What tank mates are in the tank.

Current Fish: 3 Assorted Platy 1 Rubber nose Pleco

6. Tank size.
