Dylan is watching Grossology. I hate Grossology. It's so gross.

The main struggle I have with Grossology is, it's actually really educational.

I fondly remember the old days of Roly Mo and Little Robots, but at 5, we have moved on to Power Rangers and Totally Spies. Actually, I like Power Rangers. We watched The House Of Flying Daggers last night - just like Power Rangers but without any of the comedy. We went to bed before it had finished. Just wasn't the same without an Org or two. And I could have really used Doggie Cruger coming to explain things at some point too.

I can't think of any that I'd say are bad(off the top of my head), most of them are just really really annoying, esp. lazytown.

My 2yr old loves scooby doo & mr bean which I don't mind watching, she also loves anything arty like art attack, smart, mister maker but she's not fussy what she watches really. She gets up early with her dad every morning and they sit and watch tv shows(of his choice) such as hammer house of horror, sherlock holmes, the sweeny, salems lot, the latest is the thundercats which she just adores!

I have 2 little girls, one almost 4, the other 5 (going on 16).

They USED to watch CITV... not any more. Horrid Henry in particular. And Ninja Turtles. Two of my biggest bug-bears.

Now you may be thinking 'get a life mate' but I tell you what, the behavioural change when they watched CITV as opposed to when I locked the channel out - amazing difference. My two nice, lovely little girls are back instead of the two back answering pair of little naughties that they were becoming.

Now they don't watch alot of TV - not our 'thing' really. They play with their dolls mainly or play outside in the garden with the dog or with our horses. My wife is an artist so they do that most of the time ('sticking & glueing they call it).

Best thing we did for our kids was get a dog! We are now out & about all the time with her - we live in the New Forest, so it's an excuse really to go there.

Ninja Turtles is really bad for that, Dylan learned so many new phrases from them. Talk to the hand cos the Dylan's not listening....Whatever.

I swore I wouldn't let Emily watch the Teletubbies. But, a kind relative introduced her to them. She ended up having all the video's. I couldn't find anything helpful in them that would aid her in learning.
I got really tired of Scooby also. Fortunatly she has Sky in her room now, so when my wife and I want to watch something, Emily goes to her room. She likes music channels now. Mainly Scuz and Kerrang, because they are Daddies favourites. A Daddies girl.

Balamory or whatever its called...Ahh at least I don't have to listen to it now that my step bro and sis have grown up a bit.

omgoodness how can you say that?? Balamory ROCKS!! Plum we need you, Plum we need you! It's like watching TOTP for toddlers

not a parent but being the eldest and having nephews i hate jetix cannot stand any show on that channel.

I like Ben 10 but feel there is tooo much violence in it without need.

lazytown is awful - why cant that bloke just walk anywhere instead of jumping around all the time lol

Ditto - and the song is annoying!

We're only just getting into kids TV - Ben has just hit 1yr and the only time he watches TV is when he's having his milk before bed...

The night garden is a favourite :good:
(except maybe Makka Pakka and his obsessive compulsive tendencies!)

What? How can you not like Sportacus? I don't like Ziggy, he's an idiot.

I agree on the Jetix thing though, a lot of it is a lot of kicking butt, and I know Dylan watches a lot of it. He recently revisited cBeebies and I was happy to see old friends again :)

In the night garden is a bit young for Bu now, he's more a Spiderman fan. I love that he's old enough to want to watch shows I can watch with him though. I couldn't really cope with more then two episodes of Bob The Builder, but I can watch Power Rangers all morning :)

Well, I'm not a parent, however, I made sure my little sister, seven, didn't watch immensly stupid shows when she was younger, and I'm pretty sure it payed off.
