Just an update to say that the Scarlet Badis (Dario dario) has been listed as Kesgrave today, while Black Tiger Badis are still listed too!

These guys have a wider range of temp requirements compared to the Black Tigers, making them a little easier to create a peaceful community tank for if you wished...

Would the Scarlets live alongside the Black Tigers?

Besides the potential aggression between the males (which might be neutralised in a longer tank), I believe that there would be a real risk of hybridization. Hard to say for sure, but my hunch is that mixing the two would be a bad idea.

Hmm, I did wonder about the cross breeding, I wouldn`t want to risk it but I would absolutely love to have some of the Scarlets now too

You are so lucky you could just have one group in one tank and the others in the other.

Cheers again these really will suit my tank as i really do love the pheonixs now and would h8 to have to let them go. Spent a good hour 2day just watching them such inquisitive little fish. Going to order them on friday and hopfully get another few rasboras at the weekend.

A tank with rainbow badis in.
I found them they were in a spotless tank and looked amazing. I just had to have them, and at only £2 a pop I walked away with 1 beautiful male and 6 stunning females. Just on the buss on the way back now. Will post pics when I get in

However, there are some bits I've pulled from the SF profile in your picture thread that need short (your shrimps could be in danger) and long term attention (tank size due to being much bigger Badis than Black Tigers).
