Sorry I didn`t reply sooner Goat but I`ve been away for the weekend.

The Badis in my experience are pretty quiet, unaggressive eaters, they just chill and eat calmly when they feel like it

I have a similar species, the Scarlet Badis. IME they are very very shy, they wait for the other fish to get their fair share then they tuck in! Very peaceful fish

I have a similar species, the Scarlet Badis. IME they are very very shy, they wait for the other fish to get their fair share then they tuck in! Very peaceful fish

I have seen more aggressive gravel then my lot of Scarlet Baids, Although my male has developed a taste for the filter out let nozzle, Very funny watching him try to attack in whilst swimming against the strong filter current.

I dont think there is a community safe fish their size that you could not put them with. I am thinking about adding a trio of clown killifish (if i can find them)

As my male Scarlet Badis died a couple of weeks ago, I rehomed my Female Scarlet Badis.
Today, popped into my LFS and guess what, they had some Black Tiger Badis in. I decided to get 2 one M one F. The male had a lot of colour and they only cost me £6 in total.

Am thinking about possibly getting some more Badis, I can`t really afford to go down the route of P&P from ebay but I haven`t seen any really nice examples of Badis in lfs either. There are some at MA Christchurch but they`re very pale, thin and ill looking.
Oh well, I`ll have to wait just a bit longer

1.40 litre, though I will be moving them to another nano tank I'm cycling
2.I've got 2M, 3F.
3.They will be moving but their tank mates are:

4 Tiny Licorice Gourami
3 L260 babies
5 Pygmy Loaches

But no, they won't get on with your stocking, these Badis need LOW temps.

The two essential things you need to know are that they need quite cool conditions (~22C) and tankmates need to be both small (~3cm) and peaceful feeders. For example, EliseW has her trio with my old Filament Glassfish; Pygmy Cory Catfish and some Crystal Shrimp.

Bolivian Rams and Sparkling Gouramis would not be suitable, too big and need warmer temps for a start

Looking great carl.

I lost all 6 of mine in the end, i had a fungus out break in the tank it killed them 1 akysis, 4 pearl danios, 4 harlequin rasbora, and my breeding trio of upside down catfish. Im gutted they where really starting to colour up and the males where getting the red and blue colours to them.
