No personal experience with those Rams as I personally wouldn`t pay anything to contribute towards the continued breeding of them however, all of the fish I`ve bought from Kesgrave have been healthy and very well transported. If you have any queries just email the Seller and they`re great for helping

They`re actually zipping around more than I thought they would, still wary obviously but coming to the front of the tank as long as I move slowly. I think they`re still a bit on the pale side, not sure if that`s a juvenile thing or stress thing but I love 'em!!
Size wise......my adult shrimps are bigger than the Badis

Cool I cant wait to get mine! I might start off with these and some horned nerite snails - Im tempted to try some pygmy gourami with them and a school of some kind of micro fish but not sure - what do you think?

* interesting thing I learned about them today is they are egg scatterers - which supprised me, being dwarf perches I was hoping for at least a little brood care. Kind of put me off keeping them with any micro catfish - at least for now as I would quite like a few fry.

If your 'micro' tank is going to have a fair few plants or at the least some dense areas of planting then I don`t see any reason not to keep the Badis with sparkling gourami and also some emerald rasbs or chilli rasbs maybe?

I guess with the microfish being so small they all need places to hide at times

Correct me if im wrong but wouldnt Sparkling gourami need higher temps than the Badis would like Long term?
The Badis are from Myanmar and do best in temps between 16-22C.

Wills if your worried about catfish eating the eggs you could try making a moss carpet that covers a big section of the tank to give eggs/fry cover.
