My new tank is here. Actually in my front room. Still in the box. Can't take it out til the kids go to bed. I'm sooooo excited!!! I'm just letting you guys know as I'll have loads of questions so I hope you guys will be patient with me!(As always.)

So, bring on the pictures, its always nice to vicariously enjoy setting up a new tank. All the fun but none of the cost.

Sorry Guys!! Didn't mean to keep you guessing. Kids bedtime, tidying up, I'm a celeb..(for those of you who know what that is!). It's a Juwel Rio 180 that I ordered ages ago hence my excitement. I have a 10 gal hex so I can't wait to upgrade. I've a nice piece of wood to go in the new tank. All I know is Red is in the name somewhere. It's lovely and knarly and a nice size too. I've some real plants in my current set-up so I plan on upping those. I'll be putting sand in it so my poor corys will sample sand for the first time in their little lives. I'll drive you guys mad with my questions as I'm setting it up. It's still in the box as I'm scared to take it out til the cabinet is set up cos I've a two going on three year old. Need I say more.

That tank has the perfect shape, plenty of surface area and not excessively deep. Can't wait to see the stocking list.

Well Creeker what I have at the moment in the 10 gal are 5 corys, 1 molly and 3 platys. Add to that 6 platy fry that I'm amazed haven't been eaten. I don't know where to start with stocking but I can't wait to get started. I'm gonna keep one or two of the fry and give the others to my lfs as I'll be overrun. I'll deffo up the cory numbers. I know I'm overstocked but I didn't expect more fry as the previous lot were dinner for the platys. Amazing what a few plants can do!

Sounds like the wood you got is Red Moor Lucky you, where did you pick that up ? And wow, a 10g Hex to a Rio 180 in one quick move ! Talk about Rags to Riches, hehe. No wonder you are excited. PICS !!! We Want Pics !!! Looking forward to seeing when you got the time

Oooh is it good wood then? I got it at my lfs. Had to listen to hubby when I got home about all the wood in our area that I could have hunted out free but I don't know too much about it. MishMash, I don't know how to send a pic but I'll figure it out when it's up and running and I'll post one. Did you get your new tank today? Dad setting up my stand/cabinet thingy tomorrow so I can start on things in ernest then.
