We're having trouble deciding where we can see our Eagles, even without sound. Our near bar closed but have a new smaller site downtown. It's not open yet. There's a small sports bar nearby we've heard is not so good for non-Niners fans. 2 unknown bars also downtown but likely Raiders-centric since the Niners played yesterday. & then there's parking issues & possibly iffy food too.

Gah! I'm usually excited & of course worried for our opening game. Now I wonder if we'll "watch" the radio broadcast with lame computer graphics. We "should" beat DC but we don't bet $$.

Two games in and they have both been interesting.
I think the Pats will regress this year. Maye looks like he did in college, strong arm, questionable decisions. They clearly haven't fixed the O line either. They miss the playoffs.

Maye could be a bit rusty at this point in the season. Last year, with Maye as the quarterback, the Pats lost 2 of the first three games by one touchdown each game. Then they went on to win 13 of the next 14 games.

We lost against the Seahawks by only a field goal though Maye did turn the ball over 3 times. Maye took a gamble by trying for a touchdown pass into the end zone in the final minute of the game instead of going for a field goal to tie the game. Let's not count out the Pats so early in the season. One game at a time.

Bills Texans game:
Very competetive game. Bills pulled ahead 36 to 31 with about a minute left. Texans advance down to about the 20 yard line but couldn't score. They turned over the ball on their final play and thus lost the game. Exciting game. I was rooting for Texans to win as I am a Patriots fan and the Bills are both in the AFC East. Oh well...the season has just started so much more good football to come. Football is my favorite professional sport.

WOW! What a game Cleveland QB Deshaun Watson had against he Jags! As I expected Watson stunk out the place. First drive of the game and he gets Picked. Then there was his 56.0 passer rating... He was totally helpless and even had 2-3 delay penalties.

Don't get me wrong as it wasn't all the fault of Watson. The defense was horrid. The only bright side was the special teams. I think that a big part of the problem is that the team does not want Watson at QB and it shows in performance.

And looks like I was right after Cleveland traded Myles Garrett. He is getting long in the tooth for the position as he plays it. After one game he is already on IR and will miss at least 4 games after arthroscopic knee surgery.

Watson never should have started week 1. Shoot, 3 rookies out performed Watson in the preseason so how does it make sense that he starts?

Road game. I cannot imagine he starts week 3 at home. But once you go to Shedeur that's it, no going back.

Mayhaps there is no going back but can go further forward. With Watson gone you would have Sanders, Gabriel and Green as I feel it should have been week one. Sanders and Gabriel are passers that can run; probably advantage on the run part to Sanders. Green is a runner that can throw, sort of like Michael Vic. Not saying that I want a Vic type QB as they normally don't last. Michael Vic never played an entire season his entire career.

Personally, even though I'm in favor of Sanders, I think Gabriel should probably be the current starter. The only preseason he played an entire half he had five possessions with five scores; 3-TD, 2-FG. Going strictly by pre season performance I think that Gabriel would be the logical choice even though I think Sanders is better for long term.

Go figure??? Browns beat Tampa 23-19. Watson actually even looked decent. Defense had a big impact. Browns were something like 8.5 point underdogs.

Game took around 5 hours due to a 2 hour weather delay with 2 minutes left in the game.

Well week three for the Browns is at home with the Panthers. I still want Watson gone even after a pretty good showing against TB for an upset win. So, who should they start week three?

So far the Browns have not announced the week three starter.

The Falcons have yet to get into the red zone. Yes, that's right- they have yet to get the ball down to the 20 yard line. AT ALL. We had Penix (injury prone) who got hurt last year. Then we, for some reason, picked up Tua- also injury prone. Then Tua started having back problems (shocker) so they picked up Cooper Rush at the end of July. THEN, before the first game where now Cooper Rush- the 3rd string QB is going to start- is having back spasms. He sucked. Then he sucked even worse against Carolina. So, they put in the FOURTH STRING QB, Jack Strand, who looked exactly like what he is.

Finally, Penix will start this week. How long until he gets hurt again? Lord only knows..... WE ARE CURSED. "Falcon" is a verb around here. If you get close to something, are pretty sure you'll succeed, but then fail, you "Falconed" it.
