I don't know about the rest of you, but I've upgraded from a small stick to a really large one embedded with barbs dipped in poisonous toad slime...

i love it! :shifty: or how about jabs with your poisonous toad slime stick, alternated with rubbing of coarse salt into wounds, and dunking into a cesspit?

Try the Bubishi, excellent book with various interesting instant and slow death techniques, takes a little practice but well worth the effort.....

well, they say you should try to learn one new thing every day..... :good:

If you do the have a look inside the book thing, view book contents/introduction notic the stuff about the 7 restricted locations? Thats the simple stuff....
The 36 vital points is more complex and as far as i can tell, unproven....
GF won't let me practice on her though, so i'm not sure...

Hey, I have an unused gift certificate with Amazon!!! I should be able to buy a copy for each of us, as long as they're willing to drop ship..... maybe I can get my poisonous toad slime from Amazon, too... save a little on shipping... oh, can we have matching outfits, too? I think this neighbor would be more impressed when we show up, if we all look like we're playing for the same team..... :good:

I am having entirely too much fun today.....

okay, I tryed to take a vid of him feeding for you but easy share isnt playing -_-

When he rises to the surface its breefly then he falls to the bottom tail first, he sertainly isnt as graceful as other fish Ive seen.
So I'll make up some more water and chage it tomorow. The larger tank is comming later in the week.
Ive got my shopping list for tomorow.

I'd quite like to get something else in there with Im, a snail sounds cool. Need to wait till the end of the month though Im sticking my hands down the back of the sofa right now

You also don't want to buy him a friend until we're sure he's healthy. There are many medications that you might need to use that would kill something like a snail.

He needs a name, too!!! :good:

i'll set my sicilian zio on them! we should all go and form a 'betta protection ninja' cooperation

:ninja: :ninja: :ninja:

True and true! He might allready have a name I'll ask when I get the tank.

So will he begin to recignise me? What senses does he use to see the world around him?
Does he need stuff to do? Its just him and the gravel in there at the moment

Alessasavoca
I'd certainly second that :hyper: you'd be ideal with your whipping skills!
(google Kusari Gama)
I'd go for a Kubotan personally...
Anyhow;
Rainbow i'm a little lost in the thread (and over excited about all these potential Betta-ninjas) but if you are (as i think i noticed???? ) planning on switching from mineral water to tapwater do it slowly or you may overload his osmoregulatory function, same apllies for salt treatments, when fish are in a bad way due to multiple possible causes always be careful about changing the water conditions too rapidly.
Ps; whats a sicilian zio?

I think a sicilian zio is somebody who makes you sleep with the fishies..... 8)

rainbow, your fish, you pick a name..... you're doing so much to save this guy, you deserve to name him something special..... and again, don't worry about decor in his tank until we get him healthy..... :)

You are all much more experienced in diseases and treatment than me so correct me if Im wrong but wouldn't it be better to get him completely out of the water he is in and into some good clean water? Acclimation would need to be done carefully but the water he is in has to be laced with ammonia. As long as he is in water with high ammonia content, I don't think his condition will improve significantly.
