New To Guppies. Help !

I got a puffer at walmart once, the only fish I've ever got there. I had to convince the clerk to let me catch it myself since he was having so much trouble. He didn't know anything about fish at all. That's why forums like this exist to help people really do it right. This hobby can be so frustrating when done wrong and it isn't always the aquarists fault, sometimes they just don't get information from the store so they don't know any better.

But...when it's done right...this is one of the most rewarding hobbies in the world!

tcamos, whenever I go to a lfs I always convince them to let me catch the fish! I know which one I want and I can actally catch a fish!

There have been times where the clerk is so poor at it that I end up telling them never mind and just leaving.

Last time I had the LFS owner catch a fish for me she dropped it on the floor, then tried to grab it with her long fingernails. Yikes.
 
I wish I had the money to pursue contacting the bigwigs at Walmart and getting them to convince their fish section staffers to hand out a "Beginner's Resource" sheet to get them off on the right foot.
