I like the fact you have shoaling fish at the bottom, then discus mid-top then angels at the top...different from what I'm used to seeing, very cool!

Solid blue or black?

I got a handy plastic backing with one side black and one side dark blue...I went with black

I just put my new tank in place without a background, I think I will go without for now, but if I need one again I will be hanging anything black on the wall behind I think...I couldn't paint any black on the back of my nice shiny tank although that would have probably been the best way forward...jounal be updated during today...link below

Blue is best for red and yellow fish, black for orange and blue fish i think.

I tried the blue I think it just looked horrid... made it look like a pet store in here. The black matches the tanks and the room a lot better than blue.

Just purchased some more fish, 3 Blue Coral Dwarf Gourami for my Asian tank...

But for this tank I just got 8 more rummynose tetra

Will post some up tonight, it's a bit too light now and I won't get any good shots. I'll put a few up later! Thanks for the feedback guys! Rummynose have settled in by the way...

They were very pale in the store and I was very warey of buying them. I went for it but they're glad they're finally in some decent water conditions now!

yep well I have found out the hard way that it's nearly impossible to get a good still shot of a pack of shoaling rummynose.

I will post up a new HD vid soon because I can't cope with this!
