New Tank In Pictures

The water has cleared up lovely, now you can see a few bits of interesting bogwood. The sand sunstrate has been added to & i think looks very nice now.

Got some more wood arriving soon. I think when it is planted I will be very happy.

The new sand came from the Range & was a lot darker than the origonal stuff, so i had to mix it together which is probably why the water ended up so cloudy. The result is a very nice colour indeed.

Nice piece of wood you got yourself, I would move the wood on the left to the middle and fill the left with plants. And I would grow some moss on the wood too! :hey:

Quick question, did you wash the sand out before putting it in your tank...? Mine never went that cloudy when I changed from Gravel to sand.

That tank will look great when Its finished, check mine out in my signature (although its changed alot now, but same setup.

Also, i'd be tempted to have slightly more sand that that even... As you will see in my signature post, someone said to move the sand around e.g. higher at one end etc etc etc and it works! It looks so much better than all levelled out!

Good work!

Yes I did wash the sand. Can you elaborate on "moving the sand around"?

Its finished, now I just need fish.

More sand added & now sloping down from the rear.

Lots of silk plants added as I want to concentrate on the fish when they arrive. Mopani & Bogwood rearranged, couple of mossballs in there & slate cave has a Riccia roof.
