Ok so I am almost finished with the Scape.

More moss arrived yesterday and that released alot of spores when planting. And i Got tropica plants this afternoon, Namely Glosso and Hydroclyte something. And at 2.50 a pot it seems a good price.
Just gonna finissh planting and will post some pix tonight.

Plus a Very Special New Fauna - that has been on my wish for over the last 2 years.

But will only be shown id there is enough begging.

Lets just say they will be hard to spot against the wood and plants as they are very well camouflaged.

Have you sufficient light and CO2 to grow glosso?

Is it Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides (maritima)? Also a demanding plant.

I look forward to seeing the "final product" Gill, fish and all. I have admired your little tank so far.

Lighting is not an Issue as Now I have 2 Aquapod Lights and I will plug the other in tonight.
But in regards to C02 i am just wary of starting that and ruining the tank, Ive seen the results of CO2 but wary of the price.

Hydrocotyle sibthorpioides (maritima)? - No its Hydrocotyle Verticilata Tropica code 39.

You will have trouble with glosso with no CO2, at least growing it horizontally.

You could DIY CO2 for a couple of £. I would just keep and eye on pH and fish behaviour, and possibly drive off CO2 throught the night but pointing the filter output appropriately. Or running an airstone on a timer/reverse photoperiod.

Also be aware that doubling your lighting without CO2/other nutrients may result in an algae bloom.

Heres a Few Pix, Still a little cloudy from planting but the Fauna's Colors are amazing.
Got 1 Male to 4 Females.

Shrimps Going Mad on Marimo, Opened them out too fill more space. Nice and Bouncy.

Thanks, Algae not to worried about - I have an Algae Army ready to pounce.
Bristlies, Ottos, Shrimp, Snails, CAE + Algae Loving Gouramis.

Very, very nice. Lovely little fish too, whatever it is.

not telling yet, BigC will Probably know what they are

Out of interest Gill, what water changes are you performing?

That seems a sizeable bio-load for a nano. That's not a critisisim, just an observation - I know that you are experienced.

I Do a 20% WC every Saturday and add Nutrafin Plant food in the Change.
+ with Central heating evaporation add about a litre of water every 2 days.

I am giving away some of the fish to my Neice who misses her fishys when at her uncles house.
So she gets the Fighters Neons CAE's a few shrimp couple of snails. Going over to set it up this weekend.

I Know its a little Porky ATM , but Come on Could you resist those darling little fish

The twigs and branches look great and as if they have come straight out of your back garden.

Where are they from and, if they are from your back garden, did they need any treatment before putting in your tank? Do they affect water parameters in any way?

I hope they are just twigs off the floor.

Looks like Epiplatys annulatus to me? ;)

Lovely looking tank too

Sam

I hope you have a lid on that tank, those clown Killis will be on the floor like fish chips if not.
Lost a few that way over the years.

You have too much light for the tank BTW.

Tom Barr
