New Start

Guys, Dunno whats Up.

Got home and had forgotten to turn the light on before leaving for work.

Thought thats Odd, the Females are just sitting there.

All 5 Females were in stages of death. Body Rot - They had eaten out the males stomach.

The tank will be stripped this weekend and started again.

The UV unit should be improving water quality ?Yes?

Damn thats unlucky, maybe there was some sort of parasite in one of the fish you bought. I think you'd be best to strip the whole tank down, give everything a good clean and maybe even use a part bleach dip for your plants and gravel? Hopefully you'll have more luck when you set up again. P.S 2 light timers are 3 quid at ikea!

Sorry matey :( that cant be a nice thing to get home to. A complete strip and clean sounds like a good idea, start afresh with something new. Will keep my fingers crossed for you :)

Started the Tank Again on Monday Evening.

Dumped all the substrate and have simply used polished stones as a substrate and some slate for now.

The Most Spectacular Fishes I have ever seen are the Rasboras. These Built like Brick **** House's fish as amazing, Not lost a Single one thru all of this. And My Sunset Honeys have Survived and the Banjos.

So I have Left:

5 Rasbora D......something
2 Banjos
3 Sunset Honeys
1 Standard Dwarf Male - With Very Vibrant Colors
2 Green Cories and my Julli Cory.
1 Caramel Striped Apple Snail.
1 White Delta Betta

I am gonna go to Dobbies in Mancetter and choose some new fish(dobbies prices have come down and they have Sparkling Gouramis).

Was a real shame what happened. I hope everything goes well this time though.
All the best. :)

P.S oh yeah, remember to post pics hehehe

All the best with the new start.

Consider adding very little more bio-load. Your tank already seems well-stocked for a 25 l. / 5.5 gal. Or at least change more water than previously, 20% per week wasn't it? I know you don't use test kits so big regular changes are essential IME.

Thinking about it, might not add any more than some new shrimps and snails. But might be tempted by some galaxy rasboras of danio choprae if they are in.

What do you think of Scarlet Badis, Trimar have them at a decent price ATM.

I've been Offered some Black Bar Endlers and I could use them in another Tank I Am going to set up this afternoon.
