The fishtank has risen from:

10 Ember Tetras

9 Pygmy Corydoras

3 Nerite Snails

Added today were:

2 Ember Tetras

1 Golden Pygmy Corydoras

10 yellow shrimp

3 Amano Shrimp

1 red shrimp which swam into the net which I wasn't charged for.

Next fortnight a Golden Honey Gourami will be added. ( saw a few today the colour was fantastic).

That sounds like a lovely colorful tank. Do you have pictures?

Beware with the honeys. They may be displaying to each other, and they may have had a hormone bath before the farm shipped them. Both create temporary colours. Lone honeys generally fade.

Only have room for one.

Is it being sold under that name? Are you saying it's a color variant of Gastrodermus pygmaeus (alias Corydoras pygmaeus)?

That's what I was thinking. There are commonly available albino variants of H. paleatum and O. aeneus. There is an albino form of G. pygmaeus recently introduced but I was unaware it was in general commerce. If this 'golden cory' is one of the two more common albinos it will get a lot bigger than the others, 2-3 times the size, and would probably like some of its own kind with which to shoal.

If so, this 'golden cory' will get a lot bigger than the others, 2-3 times the size, and would probably like some of its own kind with which to shoal.
Hope not lol.

I corrected my earlier post. there IS an albino G. pygmaeus, more recently introduced. Does your fish have pinkish-red eyes?
