New Project - Barb Tank

I don't know what they are I picked them up from LFS they were in their tanks and I liked the look of them! Is it Indian fern?

Yes that's the aquael fan filter 2 plus. It's upto 150L. It adjusts at the top and the max flow is 450L per hour. It's pretty powerful. I have the lever turned a little bit because it's too fast otherwise.

Found the speel lol

Moved the big bushy plants to the back, will get some more for the rest of the wall. Cut a black bag to size and stuck it to the back.

I like gold barbs.

I like them too. Had a tough decision between them and the cherries.
I have rearranged a few things-I know I am terrible. I will upload a video later on ;)

You're goin' nuts! ;)

I've always been mad, it's just nobody noticed...or they did and just didn't tell me :p

This tank is the same size as mine, with similar stock!

I want to get that blue moonlighting. Is it something you have to buy separate or is it a bulb to replace the bulb that's in already?

Often it's a blue LED light.

Ah, I remember seeing in dobbies, this light that sat on the gravel/sand and it was leds and had bubbles coming out of it. Is that the same thing? It was an "S" shape and looked really nice!

It can be. They come in differing forms. I used to have some that went under water and backlit the plants with blue. My current lights use the controller to simply turn on the blue. Cool thing is it's timed to the phase of the moon so when it's a full moon outside it's a full moon inside. This is useful for corals because many spawn based on the moon.

So do some fish.

That's awesome!

So here it is. The video of the tank and how it looks now.

Sorry for the poor quality and shaky hands :p

Btw if anyone can identify the big bushy plant on the right by all means let me know! I zoomed in on it, there's 2 bunches. It's spreading like wildfire already!

Barb tanks look so great! :) I have mine almost totally set up now and i could not be happier! There's so many options, and they are such active fish everything looks amazing!

You know...... If you were to get a bigger tank... You could have even more!! Haha

Thanks for the feedback but i'm having an issue. I want the golden barbs too. Do I have space for 6 golden barbs in there? Do I have to rehome my tigers like was suggested in the first place because there's currently 2 female cherry barbs in my 64L with missing tail and missing fins.
Can I add 3 more tigers to up the shoal and cut back the aggression or are they always like this?
My landlady has multiple tanks. The 4 1/2 foot community, a 4 foot cory tank which is where the barbs would be going, she has a 3 1/3 foot tank with community setup and the 90L cube with cory eggs.
It seems to be the 2 little tigers that keep picking on the cherries, the bigger ones don't bother with them

I had seen this video and that's why I wanted to keep them since this tank looks so busy and full of life! It's the same size as mine but mines looks empty and not as busy :(
I want to keep the fish happy. I don't see the cherries that often so I am thinking if I rehome the tigers to a tank by themselves they might come out a lot more or I up the number of cherries to handle the tigers.
