New Pictures

The Arrowana is simply stunning, also i love the Ceylons beautys :)

Hi CFC I think the pics of your lamprologus meleagris are stunning and am wondering how I can get some into a community tank which is my only one and overfull already... Is a 30" the smallest size for say 2 females and 1 male? I suppose 2+1 couldn't fit into a PFK nano (if it ever comes). Anyway they are beautiful and I want some so shall have to do some jiggling.

lovely aro you must be chuffed,we all know how much you love the blacks :good:
wow is that 3 aros you have now then?

What dimensions is the PFK nano tank? I wouldnt keep L.meleagris in less than 18x12x12" as they can be a little bit fiesty compared to other shell dweller species.
They wouldnt really fit into a standard community tank, its either a species tank or a Tanganykian biotope for them or nothing.

Yeah thats 3 arowanas now, only 3 more to get and i have one of every species, unless you go in for this Asians being three seperate species stuff.
The leichardtii and African arowanas are going to be the ones that prove hardest to get my hands on, although Wildwoods actually had the leichardtii in stock last month but i havent got anywhere to put one as i had the black on order already :/ I'm gonna leave the Asian till last and see if i can get myself something a little bit special.

I love that brakish tank, looks excellent with that rockwork. I love the look of Monos also, very cool fish. I seen them in a little lfs shop last week with no warning of them being a Brakish/saltwater fish as they age or size they grow to for that matter. I was going to set up my 90 as a brakish just for them.

Great stuff CFC, love the black aro :good: Its the body shape that does it for me, I prefer the south american shape than the austrailan and asian shape, and the colour of the blacks are better than the silvers in my oppinion.
Which tanks the aro in at the moment?
The brackish tank looks really good too :good:

Mike

The black is currently in a 48x20x20 (80g), its only about 8" so it has ample room for now until i move it to one of the larger tanks.

I love all arowanas, after Pimeloid catfishes they are my favourite type of fish.

might you be able to keep 2 arrows in the same tank?ive seen it done before and was wondering if u could keep any of ur species

Maybe, maybe not. I will try the black and the silver together once the black has caught up a bit on growth (my silver is about 2 feet) but if they dont get on it will be seperate tanks.

I wouldnt even consider mixing the jardini with another arowana, it would be carnage.

I have a silver and a red, there both about 10-12" I was planning on keeping them together once their tank has matured. Ive seen it done before could there be any issues.

cheers
