Hi again guys,

Finally managed to pick up three Kuhlis for my tank (will be looking for a few more soon). At the moment I have an EX1200 running full power on my tank. Do I need to mesh/foam the inlet to the filter or will they naturally avoid getting sucked in?!

PS, current tank stocking:

6 Cherry Barb
6 Rosy Tetra
4 Armano shrimp
1 Pitbull Pleco (Needs some company soon)

Also the Kuhlis are really small, I have them in a fry net. Is this neccessary?

Cheers

I doubt they will get sucked in. I have 4 in my tank so far, and a pretty powerful filter and current. COngrats on getting some kuhlis! They are great.

Cheers mate. Was just worried because they were small. Going to give them tonight in the net before they get released. Don't want them to be live food for my barbs!

Pets@Home. They always advertise them but never have them becuase they get sucked down the overflow. I went in with my girlfriend for hamster stuff and noticed a fry net in a tank. Saw they were Khulis and couldn't resist. I'm heading back tomorrow morning for 3 more so don;t beat me to it :p

Friary Retail Park on Exeter Street.

They are £1.50 each so £4.50 for the three. Epic deal! I think they want rid of them as they are too much effort. I'm happy to oblige. Don't know how many more I can add without overstocking. Do you guys recon I could have 7 or 8 in my 110 litre with my stocking or is that too heavy. I don;t know much about Khulis requirements in terms of space. Im am fine for bioload as I am well overfiltered at the moment

goodness thats cheap  ive seen them in my lfs for £15 for 3, it might be worth the drive 30min to plymouth, they are my next fish to get, but i have a gap in my lid where the leads come out that needs covering first as they are escape artists and they are happier in groups

and yes piccies please

If you want I will buy some for you and you can come collect them soon, after Easter. If you'd like that just let me know how many.

Andy

Edit: Also, will the Khulis really climb above the water line and escape through the cable hole? I'll get that sealed up asap if that's the case

Three more in the fry net!!!

These guys seem slightly bigger but still small fry in a big tank! Don't want them to become live food for the barbs/tetras. How long in the fry net do people think?
