New Kilifish Tank Idea Stull Up In The Air

hey so tell me what you guys think about this idea....
so im moving within 12-14 months right
and i REALLY would like to get a little cheap tank of killifish set up
i saw some eggs on ebay for the Nothobranchius type which i believe only live for a year
SO

could i buy one of those BASIC just the tank, 5 gallon tanks from petco, add an undergravel filter that would b attached to my current airpump and put the newly hatched killifish fry in it?
i would have my extra plant clippings in there and it would look preety and all

oh could i also put a betta in? or will they attack each other.
if i cant put one in , maybe i could put a betta in , but in a barrick thing

yes use a sponge filter though, and don't add a betta
