cool im getting into my cichlids in a big way since i got the big tank. prob 1 of those great ideas you have when drinkin and never follow through but have been thinking today that as my blue acara is a wild caught male and there has been lots of breeding in captivity resulting in lots of poorer quality speceins less colour/size etc maybe i should try to source a female and set up my spare tank to see if i can breed them and get some fresh dna out there.

yes they do llok much nicer wild caught,,,,seen loads of wild ones in colombia and there beautiful

heres my boy he is colouring up nice now these pics are about 3 months old. the blue is spreading up his body now and around his face its getting brighter.
