Need Help With Sponge Filter!

so i got my sponge filter today and i thought that i would just attach the air hose but i did that and i don't like it like that so i want add an air stone. how do i do that? i am confused with how to put it on b/c the filter was together when it came and this is my first one!

What kind of sponge filter did you get?
I use this kind in my fry tank

i love it but i can figure out how to put an air stone on it because i done want huge bubbles coming from it.

You just have to push the airston down the plastic tube don't you?If the bubbles are large and you dont like it, you'll need to get a different airston.

well if you look down the tube (or take it off) there is a small tube adapter (?) for the hose to be connected to; but i cant put an air stone on that so do sponge filters come apart so i can put an air stone on the bottom of the adapter?

You can't have an airstone down the tube or the filter won't work properly.
Get a gang valve & you can adjust the airflow from your pump so the bubbles won't be so intense.
They do come apart, just gently twist & pull

well on the package it said that i can use it with an air stone but it doesent show a pic...

Carefully take it apart, you'll need a small piece of air line, attach that to the underside of the bit you attached the top airline to, then add your airstone, it'll have to be a small airstone, then put it back together.

Surely you won't be getting the same pressure from the outlet to power an air stone compared to if directly attached to the line? Plus there's no-where to attach it?

sorry for the huge delay, i have been busy with my animals

ok so i did get the filter apart and there was an adapter on the other side so i cut a piece of air line and it now has an air stone and is working much better than it was with out one.
