Natural Coloration?

Do bn plecos change colors? My female, when I got her last week, was a mottled dark brown but was a different color when I did my daily check up on the qt tank. Now she is more of a chocolate color with vanilla swirls. Is this a sign of sickness, or just her natural coloration coming out now that she is more settled?

Okay. My previous bn pleco was an albino version and never changed much. I was getting worried about my new female. Thank you for the replies!

Yes, albinos don’t change much. I have had mine for a while now, and he hasn’t changed at all.

my albino occasionally shows pinker patches on his gold. Totally normal for them to change colour from time to time!
