My Tank

Well heres what i've been up to in the last 2 months....

Been quite busy really. Made the cabinet, started my fishless cycle, painted the tank trim to match the cabinet (Probably needs another coat), added the sand and some of the wood, put in my plecs (after 6 weeks), put some plants in, added the kribs (8 weeks), more plants and then today bought the angels i've been eyeing up (More pics once there settled in), added a couple more plants and another bit of bog wood (piece on the left), which the BN took a liking to but soon got evicted by the Kribs haha

Bit of damage on the tail fin which im hoping will repair

Still a bit unsure about where i've put the plants so would like to here what you have to say.

Also need to start thinking about what else to put in. Havent had a think yet so would like a few suggestions pleaasseee

Cool tank Are those the angels from Thorngumbald?

So many good fish in our area at the moment Frisbies has some Krobia sp. Rio Xingu which are nice and MA have some gorgeous adult Blue Acaras in but... I woudnt add any more cichlids to this tank actually.

Erm how about some emporer tetras I think they would go well with your angel fish. Some loaches to zip around your sand would be good.

Few interesting catfish around at MA that no one is noticing but they are actually fantastic fish but too small for my set up but would be good in yours - they have some Tatia woodcats which are cool they are the black ones with white pearly markings - glass hover cats quite a rare fish but nice and interesting but stay about 3 inches and also some gorgeous Dewabi catfish (spelling) which they have had for ages but again really nice metalic fish that sometimes go a bit un noticed in shops.

I would add a large shoal of tetras or rasboras to this tank. Something for the midlevel section. Have a look around, there are really a lot of great fish in this category.

I'd agree as long as you don't mind the odd one going missing every few months, Angelfish like their protein

Wills: Saw them blue acaras today... Could have easily walked away with them if i didnt see the angels first! And tbh i know nothing about them!!!

Im wanting to up the number of L333's so not sure if i want anymore bottom feeders

I am thinking some sort of tetra but want something abit more coulorful. Maybe some cardinals as ian said or maybe cochus blue tetra?

The Angels are just about settling in now. They've munched on some Krill, whilst trying to stay away from the Big Bad Wolf (Male Krib)

How is that centre piece of wood staying stood up, its confusing me. It looks like it should topple over so easily.

Just a tip aswell, i find that circulation from the filter is better if you aim the nozzle toward the far end of the tank. You'll get far better water movement and less stagnant water down the bottom of the tank, if you want aim it up toward the surface but facing down the length of the tank, its how i had mine. I found when i set up my Rio 180 i had to do this.
