I'm a Savage fan myself. I'm looking at getting a 111 or 110, just trying to figure on a caliber. Most of what I have are .308 Win chamberings, and 7mm is the next real logical step up. That new Accu-Trigger is amazing. A friend of mine just got a
used Savage 110 stainless varmint in .223 Rem, and on his first try for score after dialing in his scope, got himself a 5/8" 3-shot 100-yd group...during his lunch break. This is a factory rifle with no modifications.
Not to mention, the 7mm Rem Mag is just so darned accurate and flat shooting. The new short mags operate at such a high chamber pressure, it just doesn't seem rifles in the new short magnum chamberings will last as long as one in 7mm Rem Mag.
